Mark took his brother Dan up to Napa when Dan was out visiting for Thanksgiving, but I was feeling yucky and needed to get some work done, so I stayed here. Dan got us a gift certificate to the Culinary Institute of America's Greystone Restaurant for Christmas, so we swooped through Oakland, picked up Amber, and headed up.

It was raining all day, off and on, so we ended up looking like drowned rats but had a good time anyway.

After going through a lovely olive oil shop (where we bought many sauces and condiments), we took the free tour of Beaulieu Vineyards. They have big ol' redwood vats for the wine.

The others did some tasting, and I flitted around sniffing their wine. It was muchly nice.

We went on to the next vineyard, which had scenery and all.
